Situations happen to all of us in life! They tend to mold how we see ourselves, each other and our world. While our outer self deflects issues as we live day-to-day, we still get to deal with the complexities inside us to find the balance that makes up our whole self.

ADINKRA SYMBOLS:

These are sybols found all over the world in buildings, ironwork, clothing & originals in Ghana, West Africa.

1. Gye Nyame - "Except GOD, I Fear None."
"GOD Is First" (the Alpha & Omega). A reminder to acknowledge our Higher Power

2. Dwa Mennen - Ram's Horn - "Focus on our inner strength."
The parable is: "the ram doesn't charge because of the horns or outer physical capabilities, he/she charges beause of what's in his/her heart."

3. Sankofa - Looking back to go forwards or learn & build from the past. The idea is to build from & honor the ancestors & past experiences through living a GOD driven balanced present.

THE A LINE:

"Balance the opposing forces in our lives." The small triangle represents communication between the individual, the large triangle is the larger community. This piece is about balance between the community and the individual's needs. Balance between higher & lower self, or physical & spiritual self. Onyx is a grounding stone. Silver, gold, amethyst, or onyx ball reminds us to go towards our core/center to find our balance.
